Abstract:

Passages from the Bible and Canaanite literature clarify the fiery appearance of angels called 'rwhwt', "spirits", as well as the "bricks", Ibny, of the Heavenly temple in the Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice. The Canaanite evidence suggests in particular that the "bricks" constitute the material for both the floor and the walls of the heavenly temple.
