Abstract:

Orlov discusses about different translations of how the heavenly garden was made: the Paradise Traditions of the Slavonic Version of 3 Baruch, where angels are believed to be the gardeners, and the Garden Traditions in the Book of Giants, where it portrays the destruction of the same garden by water and fire. In both accounts, primordial heavenly rebellion involving angels is depicted.
