Abstract:

An analysis of the literary motifs of the story of the Fallen Angels, present both in sectarian compositions such as the Songs of the Sage (4Q510-511) and in non-sectarian compositions such as 1 Enoch and Jubilees. An inquiry of their possible origin and reason will raise questions on the relation of sectarian and non-sectarian works in Qumran and the role and function of Pseudepigraphic works in the history of Qumran ideas.
