Abstract:

The discovery of a little shovel at the excavation of the Galilee site in Bethsaida led excavators to an isolated Judean Desert cave--known as the Cave of Letters--near the Dead Sea to reexplore it. Archaeologists now believe that the Cave of Letters was very likely inhabited during the first century CE as well as the second.
