מגילת לוח מועדים מקומראן :4Q326
4Q326 is a part of a one-year roster of 'holy seasons' according to the 364 days of the solar year. In this type of calendrical document, only the Sabbaths and festivals were recorded. There is no synchronization with dates pertaining to the service weeks of the priestly courses, like other works of the same type (4Q394 1-2 and 4Q394 3-7 i 1-3). The system of 364 days per year ensures that every Sabbath falls on the same date in a given month, year in year out, and every festival falls on the same day of the week. Therefore, the type of roster represented by 4Q326 is applicable to any year. Conversely, in Mishmarot lists, the 'holy seasons' are geared to the rotating system of priestly courses, so that the dates of each Sabbath and festival vary according to the week of duty of a given Mishmar. As a result each of the 'holy seasons' must be specified in a register showing a full six-year cycle. Two calendrical particulars from this fragment are not explicitly mentioned in any other Qumran document. Although both are based upon textual reconstruction they do appear to be certain. These two particulars are shared with the Temple Scroll and point to a special connection between the two documents. They are: (1) the evident separation of the ritual of the Passover sacrifice from the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and (2) the restored mention of the celebration of the priests' investiture.
