Abstract:

While recent scholars have demonstrated that Jubilees reflects a positive view of women, and of Leah in particular, relatively little attention has been focused on Jubilees' use of the final references to Leah in Genesis. This article explores the way the author of Jubilees conveys Leah's death and her subsequent genealogy and how these aspects contribute to the overall portrait of Leah in the work.
