ספרתי" במגילת ישעיהו א' לח, יב"
DS Isa reads in 38:12: (ספרתי כאורגחיי), whereas the Masoretic text has קפדתי. It seems to this writer that the scribe of the scroll read in his Vorlage פקדתי with metathesis (certainly under the influence of v. 10), and he replaced the root פקד with the synonymous root ספר which is more common in late Hebrew (cf. 2 Sam 24:2 and 2 Chr 21:2). Considering the atomistic approach of the scribe of DS Isa there is no need to look for any sense for the word ספרתי. (Though we may understand it as "counting the days of life" in the sense of the pain of the man who counts the days of life remaining to him).
