Abstract:

As is well known, the “word” is a significant element in Ben Sira’s teaching on interpersonal relationships. In this paper I will explore the use of “word” to determine if it is indeed significant in the texts on prayer. I will then show the way in which the three aspects, “word,” “prayer” and “interpersonal relationships” are linked to each other.
