Abstract:

Scientific publishing of the first roll out of the caves of Qumran was rapid. The general public has remained partial knowledge or biased, the Qumran texts: prior knowledge in the mid-1990s a prominent example is the belief in the Messiah in the Qumran community. In biblical studies, the question of Messianism arose immediately with belief in Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah. The texts of the New Testament and early Christian writings deliver different conceptions of messianism. The intellectual history of the first Jewish messianism and messianism at work in the Qumran texts in particular, bear traces. The messianic expectations are not uniform at the turn of the Christian era. They allow Qumran manuscripts think an intellectual history of the first Jewish Messianism, a story from the plurality of the merger of the messianic expectations.
