סמיכויות מהופכות במקרא, בקומראן ובפיוט הקדום
The inversion of components in construct structure, i.e. the reversal of the nomen regens and the nomen rectum, is a well-known phenomenon in the Bible and has been commented upon by many philologists and commentators, the first of whom was Ibn Janah. I intend to show that this phenomenon occurs in the Hebrew language to a far greater extent than was hitherto assumed, and I will do so by looking at the following: a) construct structure found in the Bible in both forms; b) construct structure found in the Bible whose reversed form is found in post-Biblical Hebrew; c) construct structure found in post-Biblical Hebrew literature in both forms. In the light of the given analysis we then examine the proposed amendment of "ksp sygym" (Prov. 26:23) into "kspsg(ym)" (Aqht VI:36–37).
