Brody's attempt at finding traces of the morning benedictions in texts from Qumran, interesting though it may be and notwithstanding the possibility of adducing further material of this nature, is nevertheless not convincing. There are no traces of the benedictions he deals with in Palestinian traditions and the text under discussion was apparently recited in public (Minyan) and not as a private prayer, unlike the benedictions mentioned in Babylonian sources.
