The Aramaic Theological Dictionary treats the theological and intellectual history of important Aramaic terms found in the Aramaic sections of the Bible. Moreover, essential concepts from the Aramaic texts found at Qumran and nonbiblical Aramaic documents contemporary with the biblical texts are also taken into account. This gives rise to a comprehensive picture of the Aramaic language, as well as the spiritual world of the later biblical authors and editors, and later Second Temple Jewish writers.
