Abstract
Using insights gained from Gideon Toury’s Descriptive Translation Studies, Wright looks at the relationship between what the prologue says about the expected position of the translation and how that relates to the translation’s textual-linguistic makeup and the particular strategies used by the grandson in his work. These relationships provide a framework for understanding why the grandson, who could write good Hellenistic Greek, produced a translation governed by an isomorphic approach.
