In occasione dell'Annual Meeting SBL del 1998, tenutosi a Orlando (Florida), una tavola rotunda fu dedicata alla presentazione del libro di Gabriele Boccaccini, Beyond the Essene Hypothesis: The Parting of he Ways between Enochic Judaism and Qumran, Eerdmans, Grand Rapids 1998.
