Abstract:

A comment on the positive impact of the Dead Sea Scrolls to one man's life is presented. It states that the Dead Sea Scrolls were a central interest of his study, challenging and freeing him from stultifying dogma, and they taught him about the Jewish matrix of earliest Christianity. The Dead Sea Scrolls helped him understand who he is, why he feels God speaking in sacred texts and unfamiliar contexts, and they provide him new meaning in the ways of light.
