Abstract:

Inspired by the words of Clement of Rome - "Many women also, being strengthened by the grace of God, have performed numerous many exploits" - the intertextuality of the stories of Judith and David is discuessed primarily regarding the presentation of the figures of the two heroes. According to the textual analysis a conclusion can be made that the figure of Judith was drawn in her story as if she were a female David. This conclusion is also discoverable in the presentation of the two protagonists in the fine art of later centuries.
